Rossell Tea has prescribed stringent quality control parameters to process its teas in its well-equipped factories. As a result, the Company is considered as one of the finest tea producers in India.

Rossell Tea has a very strong in-house quality control system, where not only the quality of the produce is assessed critically but every effort is made to maintain consistency of each garden's produce.

Rossell Tea is committed to satisfy the needs of most quality conscious markets in overseas and in India. The Company, therefore, is extremely sensitive about maintaining all aspects of quality from the growing stage of green leaf to the final shipment of black tea.

Post sale supply chain activities are critical to Rossell Tea to obtain customer satisfaction.

The Company has a strict "no usage of 2,4-D" policy and this is recognized in the international market. The reward of our most stringent quality system has been growing acceptance of our produce in Germany, Japan, USA, Middle East and Russia and the quality conscious buyers in India.

MRL

Maximum Residue Level is an international norm indicating the permissible level of residues found in most edible agro products from the usage of pesticides, insecticides, weedicide, fungicides etc. Rossell Tea conforms strictly to the Food Safety and Standard Act, 2006 and Rules framed thereunder as applicable in India and also to the 'Directive of the European Commission of the European Union, as well as the special requirement of MRLs from other countries such as Japan and the USA. Rossell’s teas are regularly checked and tested for MRLs at NABL-accredited laboratories. The company is extremely vigilant of the concerns of consumers worldwide, a every effort is made to ensure a clean, invigorating and healthy beverage for all.

FSSC 22000

This Food Safety System Certification is awarded when all guidelines to manage the organization's food safety regulations are met effectively. FSSC 22000 is a fully recognized Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) based on existing ISO Standards. It sets the standards of requirement for integrated processes that work together to control and minimize food safety hazards for the benefit of customers and consumers.

All six Rossell estates are FSSC 22000 certified.

Rain Forest Certified
Rainforest Alliance

The Rainforest Alliance works to conserve biodiversity and ensure sustainable livelihoods by transforming land-use practices, business practices and consumer behavior. It sets standards for training and certification to promote healthy ecosystems and communities in some of the world’s most vulnerable ecosystems. Rossell’s – Dikom, Nokhroy, Nagrijuli, Romai and Kharikatia Tea Estates are Rainforest Alliance certified.

TRUSTEA
TRUSTEA

trustea was developed for the Indian tea industry, and is based on the Indian legal framework for the tea industry. Launched in July 2013, trustea follows an approach that focuses on continuous improvement - where mandatory criteria to be adopted aligned with the laws of the land. It has implemented certification for standards which can be used as an effective tool towards a more sustainable Indian tea industry. Rossell’s Nagrijuli, Romai and Kharikata are all trustea certified estates.
